God opens my eyes

A prophet receives the anointing

I guess it was in the mid summer of 1984.  I was at Mom and Dad’s house in South Royalton, VT.  It was morning and the weather was clear and sunny.  I had just finished reading my bible and I came across the story of how Elisha asked God to open the eyes of a Man so that he could see the warring angels that were on their side (2 Kings 6:17).

It had been my custom to go for walks on the property, and I especially liked going up to the pinnacle, which is what we called the high point on the property.  During this time I would seek God and meditate about things I know about Him.  Scripture I just read.

Having just read the story of Elisha, I started thinking about it and decided that I would ask God to open my eyes to see the hidden things around me.  As I walked, I prayed to My God to gift this to me.  I continued my walk to the pinnacle.

When you reach  the top, you see some rocks that are sticking out of the ground.  Thin layers of rock that have pushed up out of the earth.  Some were 4-5 feet tall.  There were no trees up on top, so you had a good view of the surrounding area.  Open areas around the rocks had grass growing.

There was one spot where you could lay down in the grass and rest your head upon a rock.  I positioned myself by sitting down in the grass, and then laying down toward resting my head upon the rock.  As soon as I came to my resting place, I looked toward the sky above me.

I saw a multitude of devils or demons.  They were spread out in the sky above me.

A righteous indignation fell upon me and I became furious.  I can imagine that it must have been how David felt when he confronted Goliath for mocking the One and Only True God.  He declared war in the name of our God.  And by the power that God provides he conquered that giant.

The first words to come out of my mouth were to bind all of them. The next were for them to be dragged out into darkness to await their judgment.  And the last was for all of their wicked works to be crushed and blown away like chaff in the wind.

I saw two large angels carrying a very large, and long chain.  They came down and wrapped that chain around the multitude several times binding all of them.  Then proceeded to drag the whole bundle away until they all disappeared in the far darkness.

I think I may have gotten up and done a little victory dance before my God, to celebrate the awesomeness of His power.  Not sure what I did for a few seconds, except that I took my eyes off the sky.

I have already said that it was perfect weather.  Not a cloud in the sky.  Till I once again turned my eyes skyward.

I beheld a medium line of clouds all together lined up in the sky.  On each end there were two little clouds, kind of in a triangle shape.  In between these two end clouds there were four clouds.  Each distinctly separate from the other.  They were in the shapes of four different things.  An Anchor, a Bird, a Horse, and a Lizard. In that order.

I had some note pages in the back of my bible, so I decided to write this all down (see picture at end of story).  I carefully did a drawing of each character to the best of my ability.  The whole time while doing the drawing the images never moved.  They stayed until I completed my drawing.

In my mind I was doing the last pen stroke to complete all I intended to draw.  Finishing the last line I set my pen down and looked back toward the sky.  The two little clouds were still in the same position as they had been the whole time.  But the four images in between were completely gone.  Replaced by one big cloud in the shape of a wolf.

Once again, I grab my pen and set to work on making this new drawing depicting the image in the sky.  Again, I was looking back and forth at the sky to copy it as best I can.  Nothing in the sky changed while I was drawing.  Having completed the drawing, I, as before, looked back toward the sky.

Not a sign of even a little speck of a cloud anywhere I looked.

I spent a little more time on the pinnacle after.  Praying and praising my God.  Dancing before Him.  As I left the pinnacle, I danced and worshipped before Our Awesome God all the way back to the house.

Picture shows drawings and research I did to discover meaning.
